SwissTrax modular garage floor tiles provide a durable, customizable alternative to epoxy coatings and traditional garage flooring. Interlocking tiles create a finished floor without permanent adhesives, while available open-profile designs can help manage water, dirt, and debris beneath the walking surface.
Whether you're upgrading a residential garage, workshop, showroom, home gym, or other high-use space, the modular system makes it easy to create a floor around your dimensions, color preferences, and layout.
Why Choose SwissTrax Garage Floor Tiles?
SwissTrax flooring is constructed from high-performance polypropylene and designed for demanding environments. Unlike a permanent floor coating, modular tiles interlock over the existing surface and can be individually removed or replaced when necessary.
- Durable polypropylene construction
- Interlocking modular installation
- Drain-through surface designs
- Multiple colors for custom layouts and patterns
- Individual tiles can be removed or replaced
SwissTrax Ribtrax Pro
Ribtrax Pro is one of SwissTrax's primary modular flooring systems. Each tile measures 15.75 inches square and 0.75 inches high. The perforated surface and channel system underneath the tile allow moisture and debris to move below the finished floor.
Ribtrax Pro can also be combined with compatible 15.75-inch SwissTrax PRO-series tiles when a project calls for different surfaces or design elements.

Start by measuring the overall width and length of the floor. Our SwissTrax calculator above converts those dimensions into the number of Ribtrax Pro tiles required and recommends the most efficient mix of available pack sizes.
We include additional material in the recommendation to account for perimeter cuts and normal installation waste. More complex garages can be divided into rectangular sections and measured separately.
Calculate Your Flooring →Create a Custom Garage Floor Design
One of the main advantages of modular flooring is design flexibility. Different SwissTrax colors can be combined to create borders, checkerboard patterns, parking zones, work areas, or other custom layouts.
Because the design is built tile-by-tile, the layout can be planned around garage doors, cabinets, workbenches, vehicle positions, and other features within the space.
How SwissTrax Garage Floor Tiles Install
SwissTrax tiles use an interlocking modular connection system rather than adhesive. Installation generally begins from a corner, with full tiles connected across the floor and perimeter tiles cut as necessary to fit the room.
SwissTrax tiles can be cut with common electric saws using a fine-toothed blade. Edge pieces can then be used where a finished transition is desired, such as at the garage-door opening.

SwissTrax Garage Flooring FAQs
Answers to common questions about SwissTrax garage floor tile sizing, installation, drainage, cleaning, vehicle use, and ordering.
How large is a SwissTrax Ribtrax Pro tile?
Each Ribtrax Pro tile measures 15.75 inches × 15.75 inches and is approximately 0.75 inches high.
How many SwissTrax tiles do I need?
Measure the width and length of the floor to determine its square footage. Our SwissTrax floor calculator above converts those dimensions into the number of Ribtrax Pro tiles required and adds approximately 10% additional material for cuts and normal installation waste.
It then recommends the most efficient combination of available 24-packs and 6-packs.
Can SwissTrax Ribtrax Pro support cars and trucks?
Yes. Ribtrax Pro is designed for garages and other vehicle applications. SwissTrax Ribtrax Pro can support cars, trucks, motorcycles, ATVs, snowmobiles, and other vehicles and is designed to withstand vehicle traffic.
Can SwissTrax be installed over an existing concrete garage floor?
Yes. SwissTrax modular tiles are commonly installed over existing garage floors. The tiles interlock with one another rather than being permanently bonded to the concrete with adhesive.
The underlying floor should still be evaluated and prepared as appropriate before installation.
Does water drain through Ribtrax Pro?
Yes. Ribtrax Pro uses an open-profile surface that allows water, soap, dirt, and debris to pass below the walking surface. Channels beneath the tiles allow liquids and debris to move through the flooring system.
How do you clean underneath SwissTrax tiles?
Surface debris can be removed with normal garage-cleaning methods such as a wet/dry vacuum. The channel system beneath Ribtrax Pro also allows heavier dirt, mud, and liquids to be flushed from underneath the floor when needed.
Individual tiles can also be removed when access underneath the flooring is required.
Can SwissTrax tiles be cut around walls, cabinets, and other obstacles?
Yes. SwissTrax tiles can be cut with common electric saws using a fine-toothed blade. This allows perimeter pieces to be fitted around walls, cabinets, posts, and other fixed objects.
Can individual SwissTrax tiles be replaced?
Yes. Because the floor is modular, individual tiles can be removed and replaced without replacing the entire floor. The system can also be disassembled if you want to clean underneath it or change the floor design later.
Are SwissTrax tiles resistant to oil and automotive chemicals?
SwissTrax polypropylene tiles resist most common oils and chemicals, but specifically battery acid is an exception. Direct high-heat sources should also be kept away from the flooring.
Can I create borders or patterns with different SwissTrax colors?
Yes. Ribtrax Pro is available in multiple colors, so different colors can be combined to create borders, checkerboard layouts, parking zones, accent areas, and other custom floor designs.
Should I order extra SwissTrax tiles?
For a wall-to-wall installation, it is generally useful to allow additional material for perimeter cuts and layout adjustments. The calculator on this page currently includes approximately 10% additional material in its recommendation.
